This was my first time using this app and first time going camping in a long time, and I will be coming back. Curtis was more than accommodating for us and was very kind. Absolute gem of a person and a great site!
Most genuine man you’ll meet loved every minute of the stay and he was always helpful. This was my second time back to his campsite which I don’t do very often but he’s got a beautiful spot secluded from everyone and the spaces are all very spread so you won’t feel like ur camping with ur neighbors the whole time. Absolutely recommend if you’re lookin for a nice quiet time in the woods
Warm and dry Curtis was a great host! I was prepared to car/tent camp in 20° nights, but wasn’t prepared for the rain. He offered an upgrade to one of his RV rentals. Thankful to have heat and all the comforts of home. I was by a lovely, peaceful stream.
Curtis was a great guy. Very interesting fellow if you talk to him for a bit! His land was well kept and secluded. Campsites are spread out throughout his property. He also has a few trails around it! Perfect spot as far as location to get around. Can go further into NC (under an hour from Grandfather mt.) Or right down the road to TN! He has a few local spots close by that are amazing for hiking. Though be warned his favorite is not for the faint of heart! 🤣. Personally loved it though!
Great experience Curtis was a great host and very knowledgeable about the surrounding land and other hikes close to his property. The campsite was very well maintained and perfect in every way. I would definitely come back here again. Beautiful scenery and a gorgeous sunrise view over the mountains. Pet friendly and lots of wildlife around. Perfect camp site!
A perfect late fall weekend. Curtis is always an attentive host without intruding on privacy. The property is well maintained with thoughtful features that enhance the rustic camping experience. Curtis even created a new path on site 8 that makes it easier to get around on the property. Much appreciated. I will be back!
Quiet place by blue ridge parkway Loved this place! and the host was very nice upon my arrival. You could tell he goes out of his way to keep the place nice and create a good experience for his guests. The restroom was clean. And the shower? As far as outdoor showers go it was really cool and unique. Hes very crafty for making that the way he did. Also a small trail to check out if you feel like stretching your legs a bit. The road to the camp was paved except for a small portion I think was dirt, but I didnt have any issues on my large touring motorcycle with fairly low clearance.
Enjoyed my stay here very much. Would definitely recommend!
Great place to stay! Curtis is fantastic and the area is full of delightful surprises! I’ll be back again for sure!
Super beautiful and secluded location. Great place to camp if you’re trynna get away from the city and enjoy some mountain fresh air and weather. The shower was warm, there was plenty of space for a tent, and the scenery was great. Curtis was also very nice and helpful. Hope to stay again!
Great, beautiful area and campground. And Curtis is very lovely.
Curtis provided extremely helpful directions for finding this location as well as the best ways to maneuver your camper upon arrival. He was very available and answered/responded quickly. We didn't have a 50 amp to 30 amp adapter and he luckily had one for us to borrow during our stay! He had great knowledge about the local area, and gave directions to a waterfall hike not far from his site. The fish in his pond are super cool to go see, and if you're lucky you'll spot an otter early in the morning!
Tent camping on Curtis’ land was a great time! He told us about the area and the area we camped at was beautiful.
Nice and quiet overlooking a pretty little creek.
We absolutely loved it here! This was a great, quiet place.
